Field Director and Crew Chief, Bismarck, ND

Beaver Creek Archaeology (BCA) is currently seeking to fill one or more vacancies for an Archaeological Field Director to be based out of our Bismarck, North Dakota office. The position has the potential to become full-time with benefits.

Field Director Responsibilities:
* Perform and supervise Phase I, II, and III archaeological fieldwork and report on results
* Apply creative problem-solving skills to optimize project completion
* Direct data management and reporting for simultaneous projects under strict deadlines
* Work closely with management regarding project work, scheduling, and data exchange

The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:

* Professional demeanor and positive attitude
* Adaptability to rapidly changing project needs and schedule

Qualifications:
* M.A. or M.S. in Archaeology, Anthropology, or closely related field
* Three years of relevant work experience to include one cumulative year in supervisory roles
* Experience with Trimble GPS or similar hardware
* Ability to work in the field for up to 85% of the time during the peak of the field season
* Ability to walk long distances in extreme weather through rugged terrain
* Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
